Faces of Jazz: Craig Taborn - 2013 Monterey Jazz Festival

Craig Taborn has been on the scene for enough years to be called a veteran of the music. He has played with and/or recorded across a wide landscape of jazz, electronica, and free jazz. The list of bands and projects he's been involved with is impressive, to say the least.

He spent quite a bit of time with the James Carter Quartet before releasing his first solo effort, "The Craig Taborn Trio". Since then he's been involved on projects with Dave Douglas, Roscoe Mitchell, Bill Laswell, Chris Potter, and many more. The Night Club audience experienced a considerable range of Taborn's repertoire. He also appeared later in the weekend with Dave Holland, and his new band Prism, of which Craig is a member.
